My windows XP is on a Cable modem. Can I connect via USB, my Windows 98 PC which has no network card, to the same modem to enable it to access the internet please?

WOW ! That's good. I will study it and try it. Thanks.

It would be far cheaper and quicker to fit a network card and a crossover cable.

I bought a network card but I am scared to open the PC and install it. The instructions says,' Look for a PCI-lock, remove the protective flap in front of the available lock in the computer housin.' I have not opened the computer yet. Does anyone have a diagram of the inside of a computer and indicate where I should plug in this Network card. Sorry I have never opened a PC before, but I should try.
