Hi...
i have win xp and it messed up some how. Paint would not work and so i tried to repair
it. I accidently put in a different xp disc and started to install it. Half way through
installing it said file pcmcia.sis is corrupted. Now each time i turn on my comp
i have to choose between windows xp and windows xp setup. These are the 2 options
i get and i have 3 secs to choose

what i want to know is...

how can i get rid of the setup thing so the pc boots
straight away without me having to choose.

how can i get paint to start working again?

and what is the pcmcia.sis file?

please please help...i am totally stuck...thank u for all the help

Try installing xp using the original disc. Should solve all of your problems.

PCMCIA.sys is the control file for PC Cards, most commonly found in laptops.
