two HDD's in a laptop

hi,if you get a laptop and it has two hard drives, does that mean, that if one goes down the kermit you could in theory transfer
everything over to begin with, and then run it off the second HDD...does that make sense?

You could use one as a backup for the other - do a daily backup routine. See click here for a guide to backing up.

Out of interest, where is the second hdd? Does it replace something esle (optical drive?) or what?

thanks for the quick reply, not certain, I am on the point of ordering a Rock laptop, and it can be ordered with two HDD's.

i think you'll find that a second HDD replaces a floppy drive or optical drive, the same as a 2nd battery.
