TV Tuner

I have a Gateway GM5407E and it came with a tv tuner. When setting it up I choose the digital cable selection because that is what I have. When I look at the guide, it shows all 700 channels I get but I can only view 1-80 which are the basic channels. I can see the names and all that of the other shows but when I choose them it gives me a unavailable message. Is this due to my tv tuner not capable of showing the digital channels and if so, what can I purchase so I will be bale to watch these shows through the tuner on my com. Thanks in advance!

Alot of these channels will be

1. unavailble during certain hours i.e. BBC 2 /4 do not start untill 1900.

2. Encrypted as they are pay per view (Eureosports etc.)

3. Not worth watching IMHO (bidTV, the shopping channels and quizz channels)

If you have a TVtuner in your PC and the right software (usually come with tuner card) then yes you can record to HDD.

I have one of these played with it for a short while and then got bored.
I prefer to watch TV on a proper TV plus I use a proer HDD reorder with digital tuner to record the little I watch.

PC for PC work
TV for TV watching

Now there is a subject for A PCA poll.
