TV Out port on Geforce FX card

I put a new GeForce FX card in my PC at the weekend. Now find that I can't play DVDs, as I keep getting the message: "TV out port of display card not working properly", followed by a comment re. copy-proof DVDs not being playable if there is a TV out problem. The dvds are originals, and I can't find anything to change in the nvidia "media center". Running win98.

Any advice?

As an aside, also had problems with the card overheating due to proximity to other card - my monitor stopped working shortly after putting the new card in - any possible connection?
Thanks.

My first thought on this is to uninstall the video card drivers (add/remove programs) then install the new ones again or see if there are updated drivers click here

have downloaded latest drivers, but problem persists - how to disable TV out (as I'm not actually using it)?
