TV has 2 of the 3 RCA connections

Seen it around planty, 'how to connect laptop to tv' blah blah. Know how to do it, plan to use a VGA to 3 RCA, or an s-vid to tv, however, both of these require the old RCA set-up on the tv (tv is old will only support that or scart - and i don't think that'll be very good). On my tv though i have only the White and Yellow RCA connectors, but not the red. Would this matter?

If it doesn't work, would using a Scart adaptor (which has an RCA one side, and scart the other the sort you get with XBOX's Wii's etc etc) work?
