TV Cards

  SimpleStevie 18:41 14 Oct 2004

I have been looking at getting a TV card to put in my PC as I have a really nice flat screen monitor but a crappy little telly, so I guess it makes sense!

The only probem I'm having is that all the cards seem to require a sound card. My computer has on board sound on the motherboard. Can anyone reccomend a good TV card that doesn't require a sound card and can use the motherboards on board sound?

I have up to £100 to spend on the card.

Thanks for helping.

The sound card they are refering to is any sound card in the system seperate or onboard.

The usual method of transfering sound from the TV card is via a jack cable between the TV card and the "line in" socket on the sound card (the line in socket of your onboard sound would work just as well)
