Howdy....Is there a tv card with a scart socket...

I'd love to connect a dvd/vhs player to my pc and record direct to my hard-drive, old vhs/camcorder tapes....

Any ideas...??

Thanx

You would be better of putting that £50 towards a dvd recorder. Then if you still want to put them on the pc for editong you can use the dvd to get it on PC

The answer to your original question is No.

I have a Twinhan PCI Freeview (Digital plus Analogue) TV card that can also be used to record external video sources using S-Video etc as well as be used as a PVR.

If you did buy a DVD recorder as suggested (DVD media type) you could connect your VCR to it with a Scart to Scart lead and record onto DVD disks that way.

Recording to your hard drive would involve very large video files.
