Can you do anything in safe mode (press F8 at startup)?

to get to the system restore folder to delete this file do the following

1. open my computer

2.click Tools/folder options

3.click the View tab at the top

4. scroll down to "Hide protected operating system files (recommended)" and remove the tick.

5. accept the warning (click yes)

you will then be able to view the system restore information folder and files, take a note on AVG of the restore point number (eg. R12), browse to that folder and delete the infected file/files

once you have cleared your system, dont forget to put the tick back in the box (steps 1 through4, but put the tick in) you will not get the message this way.

hope this helps
