Trying to play HDTV on my TV

I have just got a fullHD camcorder and Pinnacle 14 to edit. I don't have a stand alone Blu-ray player but my Panasonic TV plays video from SD cards. Plays the one straight out of the camera OK. However I cannot get it to play an edited video output to SD card. I get "No valid file to play".
Thought I would try making a blu-ray disc (BD-RE) and playing it on Cyberlink Hi-Def Suite on the PC. No luck - it says " A disc with unsupported format is in drive F"
All very frustrating.
Anyone got any ideas?

you probably need a codec to save it in a format that dvd drives can use.

OK uninstalled and re-installed Cyberlink and that now plays the blu-ray disc so I am just left with TV SD card problem.
