Trying to modify a wmf image - I can't

  Chris the Ancient 17:40 10 Dec 2007

I have imported a .wmf clip art image into a word document, but I want to manipulate it.

Basically, I can ungroup the picture into it's component parts and delete the bits I don't really want (some shadows).

What I then want to do is regroup the picture's parts so I can make a second, but rotated image. But I can't find a way of regrouping the parts! All I ever get is the drawing canvas outline - which I can't get rid of.

It is no good rotating the original image and ungrouping it to make the changes because as soon as I ungroup the rotated image, it reverts back to it's original orientation.

Anyone ever found a way of doing this sort of manipulation?

I looked at the MS kb and found this click here

I messed about grouping, ungrouping, regrouping and all sorts of things. I don't know what I actually did, but I ain't going to knock it because I made it work!

If only I knew how I did it, though.
