trying to connect laptop to pc

  woowoowoo 10:25 27 Apr 2006

I have just bought a new laptop and would like to put some of my software from my pc on to it. So I thought I would use the network lead and run network wizard. But needless to say not that simple - I get the message that my local network thingy is diconnected - can anyone advise please? - I really haven't got a clue what I am doing

If you are connecting the 2 together via their network LAN sockets you will need a Crossover cable rather than the standard Patch LAN cable.

Please don't waste £10 or more in PC World when the Ebuyer Extra Value cables are just as good and cost far less even with postage. click here for an example selection.
