TrueVector is the main working part of ZoneAlarm.

Like the Doctor says when when you present a symptom "There's a lot of it about!". It happens on my XP Home's about once a week and appears to have no effect. A chat with the support robot on the Zone Labs site does not help much either. Thinking it through, I suspect it's to do with shutting down the system and Zone Alarm not closing a file in time.

Thanks for your replies,iv'e uninstalled zone alarm as the instructions on byfordr's link then downloaded again so i'll see how it behaves now, thanks for everyone's help.
