Anybody know how I can shut down the True Vector in Windows? I am running Windows XP2. ..Bingalau..

Are you running Zone Alarm?

Why do you want to do this?

It belongs to the ZoneAlarm Firewall. Why do you want to turn it off?

I take it you have a Zonealarm problem.

try going to:

Start/run and type MSCONFIG and select startup, now untick the true vector startup entry.

If you have more problems, post back.

If the above fails you try:

Start/control pannel/ administrative tools/ and then click on services. Look for the True Vector service here and stop it.

Sorry for not getting back to you all about this.. There is a reason however, I couldn't get onto the Internet at all this morning,, I think I have messed about that much that I may have upset something somewhere. Anyway It seems also that I may have now got rid of the True Vector problem. Not that it will be the end of it but at least I may now be able to progress and re-install my eTrust and Zone Alarm.. I hope so anyway.. If not I will be back looking for more advice.. Many thanks again for all the help given. ..Bingalau..
