trouble with windows media player

i recently put a new sound card in...pc line c-media chip version cm18738 6 ch without spdif..it has no configuration and says have independant rear speakers and subwoofer jacks.Now when i try to play any music in wmp i get a buzzing noise when i click nxt song.I done a roll back from wmp10 to wmp9 but no joy.i have taken the soundcard out and installed it again,but nothing..any help..thx

I think the title "trouble with sound card" would have been more accurate, as I cannot see how WMP would be to blame.

1) What results do you get through one of your other media players (assuming you have more than one; most folk do).

2) What driver version are you using for the C-Media chipset?

sorry...about the title.I dont have any other media players.and the drive is PCL-SC5100

i forgot to add that when the software i load in comes up it says SC3000...could this be the problem?
