Trouble with setting resolution on laptop / LCD

  jonargent 00:19 30 Jan 2009

I've just switched back to XP MCE on my laptop, after trying the Windows 7 beta, and I can't get my laptop to output to my LCD in 1440x900 now... The laptop is an Acer Aspire 3680, with the intel 95GM chipset, and the screen is a Samsung SyncMaster 940MW. I've downloaded the latest drivers from the Intel site, but still nothing...

Try this go back into windows7 and set the screen resolution to 1440x900

Right Click on the desktop click Screen Resolution and change the setting to 1440x900

Restart the computer into xp and see if the display will now allow 1440x900 screen resolution
