Can someone please help, my computer is taking a vast amount of time to load up. Even when it finally loads up it more often than not will not open disc's put into my CD rom drive, it knows there, there but you have to go into the control panel to open the disc up.
The drivers for additional hardware load but when you go to use the new hardware even though it knows that it's there it tells me it can't find the driver and or device.
Have used de-frag and done several disc clean up's, used system restore makes not a jot of difference.
Can someone please help before I loss my remaining hair.
My operating system is XP service pack2.
Computer is a Evesham AXIS 64 KD.

Download and install this, click here ... when done run the Once Click Maintenance module, this will clean the registry and also do a couple of other little jobs with just one click.

When it has done its scan, click on Repair problems, and then right-click on its icon in the System tray to Exit the program.

Update to SP3 from Microsoft. Sometimes crashes "Access denied". Work through MS Knowledge Base to fix that if it happens.
Google SP3 Access Denied for help. Or the error code.

Turn on your Automatic Security Updates (control panel/security center)

Make sure your antivirus is up to date and do a full scan.
(I use AV from

"revo uninstaller" is good for unwanted programs.
Google each program first to make sure you can delete it safely.

Have fun, may take a few hours.
