I have a problem with certian web sites, paypal and bank sites. When I try to get on the site the blue loading bar just idles along and the site does not load. The pop up stopper settings are off and it will not even load with the firewall down.
I have XP home with Broadband via aol.
My other pc using the same connection has no problems.I am using a netgear wireless networking system.Any ideas would be appreciated

Clear out temp files etc - click here for a good program to automate this.

you may need to install java to be able to view secure sites such as your bank's online account etc.

click here and then click on the link to download java....this will then be updated by windows update at some stage, msjavx86 is not available anymore from microsoft due to legal action between then and sun java.

good luck, hope it helps

Have you tried a different browser; Firefox for example?

Thanks for the tip,but the plot thickens Firefox tried but it will not do the job.
I wonder if there is a problem with the Wireless router settings.
Now if it them,I am totally out of my depth with that.

The problem still persists, any more thoughts?
We can go to the Next catalogue home page and view all the goodies to order but when we click on my account the new window opens but will not load.My other PC loads no problem.
Both PCs have the same IE settings
