Trojan removal

  cambois 20:47 09 Dec 2006

I am running windows xp with SP2 and have been infected with a number of Trojans, proxy ranky, proxy-fbsr. I have downloaded and installed spy doctor and it tells me it has removed them but once I re boot they are back. I have tried turning off the restore but they still come back. Any ideas.

just wondering if this has made any progress?

Worth bearing in mind that Stinger's virus database is dated Feb 06 so it may miss newer infections. No harm trying it though.

Something else that may help is Trojanhunter click here

You may come across a Beta Version 5 click here
i would suggest steering clear of that for now untill the full version is released.

The first link gives you a 30 day trial and may just sort you out if the above posts do not.
