TROJAN HORSE ARGHHH!

My Norton Antivirus has just told me I have been infected with a Trojan Horse and it cannot be repaired. It is called c:/windows/memupdaterV4.exe. Is it OK to delete this file or will it completly muck up my computer? I have it quarantined at the moment but I would rather not have it on my computer at all if possible! I'd appreciate any help.
