I have checked to see if any previous posts have been written on this subject and there are none for a file named Q123.vbs.

I have just finished sorting out a friends PC whose little sir like his porn sites. The PC has the latest AVG antivirus loaded now, It had AVG on but was not up to date, hence the viruses and trojans I found. The OS is Win98.

On boot up it AVG stated that Q123.VBS could be infected with VBS.Psyme.AP, press c to carry on.

I have now removed the file and placed it in the recycle bin, it is not removed from the PC yet.

I have restarted the PC many times and after sorting out the start up problems and it has not failed once. I have also run some of the programmes with a hitch.

I cannot find any reference to Q123.VBS being a working file that is needed, is it safe to remove it from the PC all together?

Help please.

Cheers for the quick response FruitBat.

I had this site up this morning but I could not find any removal instructions. I use Nortons and their name for this downloader is different and the removal instructions named files that did not exist in the registry.

I will leave it a week then inform her to delete the file then.

Thanks.

Pimpers.
