Trojan dialler ?

  technician 09:05 07 Sep 2006

Last night Mcafee protection alerted about a programme called 23100247 was trying to access the internet. I've tried deleting it,but am not allowed. It just keeps trying. What is it and how do I get rid.

Hi technician,

From what you have posted the trojan is not dialing but just accessing and VoG's link will probably cure the problem. However, if you want to avoid dialers, download and install the free Anti-dialer from click here. It will only allow your machine to dial the number for your ISP which you have input when setting up, all other numbers are rejected. It saves making contracts with BT or whoever to block premium rate numbers and has no hassles whatever, I wouldn't be without it. It runs when you go online and stops when you come offline.
