Trojan Attack - DYFUCA.F

My anti-virus software detected and quarantined the above - which seems to have something to do with an 'Internet Optimizer' screen which regularly pops up when I am on the Internet.

I deleted the files from my hard drive, but still the offending screen keeps popping up. Also, it takes forever to load some web pages and I can't seem to get at my Hotmail.

Are there some registry entries that also need deleting?

Can anyone help?

Thanks.

What OS are you using?

Are the Internet Optimser screen coloured ads or grey message windows?

W2K Pro.

The screens tend to vary in colour, often yellow.

To fully uninstall

The dialler can be uninstalled by running the executable with a /u command line switch (i.e. Dialler.exe /u). This might not remove the DyFuCA folder and dialler executable, but it should remove any entries added to the System registry

As for the ads i think thats just a normal - use an Ad Blocker like NoAds - click here

Also you have Adware installed from the pron Dialler click here

Run Adaware click here and Spybot click here to remove it

Many thanks for your suggestions Jester2K 11. I'll download the suggested progs & give them a go.

I won't mark as resolved just yet.
