Transferring to ISP 02

  gel 07:28 11 Apr 2008

I am about to transfer from Orange to 02 as my ISP
The 02 comes with free Macafee Virus Firewall and Spy control
At present I use Free Avast Ad-aware Spyware Blaster and Zone alarm
Will the Macafee do the job equally as my present set up or should I remain with what I have
Your comment would be very helpful

I would advise you to remain with what you have.

So would I

Thank you very much for your comments Technotiger and Gordon999.
Seems quite conclusive.
Would you care to comment regarding a negative attitude towards Macafee.
I have seen recent comments in this forum regarding Macafee but I wondered if the problems had been resolved.

I am afraid I cannot comment on McAfee as I have never used them - though I have heard derogative comments about same.

Thanks Technotiger
I also have seen comments I think they were with regards to slowing down the computer

Mcafee is very good.
If you are getting the full suite for free, normally anything from 5- 18 months i recommend you use it.

It would be a backward step to remove Mcafee paid suite to a freebie.
However in saying that,if you find Mcafee causes you problems such as slow bootup/email loopbacks all means remove Mcafee using there own specialized tool (not just add and remove).

There is a debate of what protection to use and what is best.....we can all argue till we are blue in the face, however its down to the user to experiment at times.
