Transfering Outlook & Explorer files to a new PC

  Evolution 08:39 11 Oct 2004

I'm about to get a new PC and wish to transfer some essential files from the existing one on to the new one.

I'd like to transfer my IE favourites and my address book from Outlook 2003

I think I know how to do this and I just require clarification that this is all I need to do and if there are any other considerations.

For the IE task copying and transfering the favourites folder located in Documents & Setting, User, Favourites )

For the Outlook task, carrying out the export / import routine located under Outlook's file menu.

If the new PC will be running XP click here may be useful.

For IE favorites, File/Import and Export and follow the wizard.
