hi, here is the situation, i have a laptop computer with no CDROM. I want to install windows 98 on the computer but i only have the win 98 CD ROM

The laptop has a belkin pcmcia network card, the computer is a 166mhz 32MB ram, 4 GB hard drive, running DOS 6.3

I dont want to pay for a external CDROM drive, i want to transfer the win 98 files from the CDrom in 1 computer to the harddrive of my laptop via network card, but i am not sure how.

Can anyone help me with this

Thanks

Set up a network between the 2 PCs, copy the W98 folders, and all files on the root of the CD (anything not in a folder) from the CD of the desktop to the C: drive of the laptop.

Boot the laptop with a W98 boot floppy, type C:setup at the DOS prompt.
