Can anybody tell me the best way to transfer my itunes library from my old PC to my new PC. Thanks

You are allowed up to 5 computers with your i tunes account. If you have an external USB Hard Drive, I would first install a new i Tunes programme on that. On your old PC, using Windows Explorer, copy iTunes to it. This is not the actual programme files. but contains all your other stuff.then on the new computer open i tunes, then in music, select add folder to the library, then highlight the i tunes music folder on the USB HD.

You can deauthorise PCs and Macs. You can't install and move iTunes on External HDD.
But probably he hasn't used 5 computers, yet.

Best way is to transfer music to the new PC and let iTunes transfer purhases

Sorry I meant to say install i tunes on the new PC first as a download.Then you could use the USB HD to transfer stuff. Probably more elegant to use the i Pod itself.
