Hi everyone,

I would like to transfer all my files from a desktop (PC) to two laptops. How can I do that except "cross-over cable"? Does FTP work? Please advise me in detail.

Thanks a bunch-

You two kinds of choices; a network or file upload. Assuming that you do not have a routed network and you have hinted that you want an alternative to a peer to peer network, then you should use file upload. Smallish files can be sent to yourself by email; larger files can be sent to a site such as Dropload.com and downloaded from there. It really is more convenient to grab an Ethernet cable and make an ad-hoc network.

Another option is to transfer your files via a USB external drive, but unless you want to do this on a regular basis, that's an expensive solution.
