transfer emails to new pc

I found a good pag of advice on how to do this, and have done it before

However, following the instryctions it seems this time theres not enough room on my thumb drive. The folder where my emails and folders are is 55.8 mb. The Deleted Items folder is 23mb. So I empties it, in Outlook Express. But it still shows 23mb. Can I delete it altogether, on the old pc? I mean wont it be on the new one anyway? Or if not why is it 23mb when its empty?

Many thanks

Here's what i do if i want to save/transfer e-mails.

Create a folder with the appropriate the folder up and drag the edges of the folder to make it smaller( so you can still see it ok but you can be able to drag files into it)

Open up Outlook Express and highlight all the e-mails in your Inbox....then simply drag them all into the folder you created.........Just do the opposite to restore them to Outlook Express on another pc, or after a re-install.

I hope that helps.

If you have infected mail then you will just transfer it all back again.

Or don't copy the Deleted folder over.

Or copy one folder over then copy the next.

Or open OE, Tools, Options, Maintainance, Clean Up Now. Compact. Close OE and reopen.
