Too many open COM ports, how do I...

Over the last couple of years, I have had two or three different mobile phones syncing with the PC. These are not used now (broken). I now own another (different make), which is also connected to the PC over bluetooth and serial cable. The problem is every time I install another phone it opens up another COM port or more. I would like to clean up this section of the PC, and shut down or disable the ones which were used for the old phones, but how do I find out which COM port is for which phone, so that I only leave open the ones for my new phone.

Thanks Fruit Bat /\0/\.
This needs a bit of studying when I'm sober, before I make any changes. Hic!*'#
