Too many 'My Documents' folders

I have noticed that I have a 'My Documents' folder on my C drive as well as a 'Documents and Settings' folder. Both seem to hold the same files so I assume are hogging disk space. Should I cut and paste them all from one to the other, and if so, which way should I do it? Thanks for any help.

Leave them alone - 'My Documents' - that you find at top of list of C: is a shortcut to your 'My Documents' in your C:\'Documents and Settings\yournamehere\My Documents

You can check this by rightclicking on 'My Documents' and looking at its properties.
It will tell you the 'Target' (C:\'Documents and Settings\yournamehere\My Documents)

They are not duplicated, if you delete any files they will be deleted.
