Token-Ring ROM Initializing

  dublincity 18:04 02 Oct 2007

I bought a good, used Dell desktop and messed something up because I used 2 installation disks (Win XP & Mandriva) that were both scratched and corrupted.

When switching on, it says Token-Ring ROM Initializing. I can work around this by keeping a good installation disk in the tray and can boot into various OS's on different partitions.

The PC is running well but does anybody know how to repair the boot-up prob?

Many Thanks.

Does it have a connector that matches one of these on the back? click here Have you checked BIOS for boot-priority?
