I have been with Tiscali for years and had very few problems. I think all ISP's have problems frm time to time and you will probably get many different opinions. However Tiscali is OK by me.

out of the 8 mb what speed do you get, and thank you for your reply

"I have been with Tiscali for years and had very few problems"

Couldn't have put it better myself.

I'm currently on Tiscali's ADSL Max service plus free 'phone calls 24/7 for £17.99 per month. Excellent value!

"out of the 8 mb what speed do you get"

The speed you achieve is not directly related to the ISP. It is affected by various factors including your distance from the BT exchange, local contention ratios and the quality of your wiring.

For what it's worth I get around 6.5MB.

tiscali customer services are a joke

  bluto1 21:58 03 May 2007

Shutt1e,

I was with Tiscali for a year and the Broadband is OK , although sometimes there are hiccups. I left because as loganly says the Customer Service is a joke, and I`ll add `from the top down`

You seem reasonably close to the exchange. On the same site if you click on Availability checker on the left then after entering your details click on BT ADSL, this should tell you your straight line distance to the exchange. This is a very rough measurement but gives you a bit more of an idea.
