Time setting in gmail

  BigMan24 19:00 20 Dec 2005

Hi guys,

I have another silly question.

Something which is quite annoying me. I've just returned from a different country where I was living, which had a different time zone.

My gmail account is still in this time zone - it is really annoying me, as the time it recieves emails is wrong!

I thought it would be something relatively simple to change but I just cant find the option!

Could someone please help me out by telling me how to change to time settings?

Thank you very much!

Google Mail stamps your messages with the date and time set in your operating system. If your messages are receiving inaccurate timestamps, you'll need to change your operating system's calendar properties.

Here's how to do that in Windows:

1. Double-click the time in your taskbar.
2. Click the 'Time Zone' tab along the top of the dialogue box.
3. Verify that your time zone is selected. If the time zone in which you are located is not displayed, select your time zone from the drop-down menu.
4. Verify that the box beside 'Automatically adjust clock for daylight savings changes' is ticked.
5. Click 'OK.'
