Thundferbird will not install

  jack 12:06 01 Feb 2008

Mozilla Thunderbird is my E-mail client of choice.

However having rebuilt my system and now in process on installing 'stuff' I fund the Thunderbird will not install clean.
When installed and the 'start now box' is ticked the program does not fire up and I get the 'Windows Problem -send a report' box up.

I have removed all mention of previous installation attempts, carried out a reg edit and a C Clean, but to no avail.
Why would this be?

Corrupt profile maybe delete from C:\Documents & Settings/username/

Sorry hit the button before I'd finished!

C:\Documents & Settings\username\local settings\application data\ and look for the Thunderbird folder and delete, then try fresh install.

Still in trouble here.
Thunderbird simply will not run
I have removed. Reg edited all out of system, booted
Re installed.
Fresh download
Start over.
And still come up with the problem send a message.
Yet it has always worked with the previous installations
Yet more putery puzzlement

I have resorted to the Mozilla Forum myself in the past. You do not need to register or sign up to post a query.
It may be worth a go.
