Thumbnails in Windows Explorer

  BillyOC 23:42 22 Oct 2004

I have three computers running Windows 98. On two of them Windows Explorer shows a thumbnail of a JPG file when I select the file. On the third computer all I get is the details of the file.

All have "View as Web Page" checked and all three seem to be identical (except for the thumbnails)

How can I turn in this facility?

It's been a while since I've used 98, but I think the answer is to select the View menu on the toolbar (in Windows Explorer) and select thumbnails.

Are all the machines running the same version of Windows 98? This may be a feature of 98 SE only (not sure though).

Thank you temp003. The Microsoft solution you told me about works well.

It involves putting a lot of magic numbers into the Registry.

I presume the registry had become corrupted by some of the many photo editing tools I have installed.
