I have just purchased a 17" tft monitor and on attempting to run at 1280 x 1024, I find this is not available in Display, Settings or on the video card.,as they only go up to 1024 x 768. I previously had a 17" crt monitor and run at 1280 x 1024.The tft monitor has a dsub plug, the graphics card is a G Force FX5700, 128mb ram with a dvi socket with an adaptor, and dsub socket.Genus
update your graphics drivers if u haven't already: click here
...but is your monitor set in the display properties ?If you install the driver for your monitor that might help, but I thought that resolutions were available usually based on what your graphics card can handle and most monitors will just scale it?I.e. my monitor has native resolution of 1280 x 1024 (lcd) but can display 1600 x 1200 but will just be scaling it somehow down.
