TFT resolution ????

Is it possible to get a 15in TFT to run at 800x600 and still be pin sharp.

The software we use at work uses 800x600.

This fills the screen and is sharp on CRT, but a bit fuzzy on a TRT set at 800x600.
Its useable, but its just a bit soft.

Changing to 1024x768 is pin sharp but it dosen't fill the screen.

Anybody ????

The more dots the better the resolution. So not much hope for 800 x 600
What is the native resolution for the tft screen?
This will always give you the sharpest picture.
Have you tried stretching the picture to fit the screen in 1024 x 786?

The native res is 1024x768.

How do I stretch the screen to fit???

giosblue,

TFT monitors only have one resolution at which they are pin-sharp, often called the natural resolution. It is because the screen is made from light-emitting transistors and the screen is only pin-sharp when the resolution exactly matches the number of transistors.

For a 15" screen, the natural resolution is normally 1024x768, which is why it appears sharp at that resolution.

Felix

Are you sure the application is limited to 800x600? What is the program in use?

"Are you sure the application is limited to 800x600? What is the program in use?"

Yes I think so, its an invoicing/stock control/ledgers for the motor trade.
It will only fill a CRT sreen at 800x600?
