TFT Monitor connection

I have a Viewsonic monitor (analogue) which I plug straight into the back of the tower. I had a quick look through a small box supplied with my MESH PC (containing various wires etc) and came across an adapter which fits on the end of the monitor lead to change it from the standard 15-pin plug to a DVI connection. If I use this adapter and plug the monitor into my DVI connection, will this make any difference to the quality of the graphics (or anything else). I don't have the tower at this time so I haven't tried it yet, I was just wondering.
Thanx for any replies.

It is still an analogue connector,so unless you have digital out on graphics card wont make any difference than using 15pin cable

There will be no difference unfortunatly.

The adapter is there because some video cards only have DVI outputs.

If you don't use it, keep it safe for any possible future upgrade to the video card you might purchase.
