Is it possible to send a Text Message to someone’s Mobile Phone from my Computer using my ISP Tiscal?

If it is possible how would one go about?

There are a variety of free services that you can use (independently of your ISP).

I use O2. You have to register on their website (click here) and give them a mobile phone number (i.e. yours) that they send an activation code to. Once done you can send 10 short free texts a month. You can also buy more texting capacity.

Otherwise just search for "free texts" and take your pick.

Be very careful. There are numerous "free" PC to SMS services, but the catch is that the recipient has to pay an extortionate fee to retrieve the message.

I just tried sending a message from Text4Free click here to my phone and to retrieve the text message would have cost me £5!

My phone actually has a "PC Suite" that lets me type and send text messages by typing them in the PC and sending them from the phone while connected by Bluetooth. Is such an option available for your phone?

I use this one occasionally.

In fact I used it yesterday with a test to my other phone.

Just checked my balance. Not been charged.
