I am helping a friend who has a dell computer, periodically a banner pops up stating that there is a virus. I have checked and removed Trojan, used adware SE to remove any malware, yet this
banner still pops up. Clicking on the banner takes me to webiste for teslaplus.com, but there is no contact info there.

How do I get rid of this banner please

Thanks, I tried the Google solution, but there was no similar entry in the registry. I have tried MS Antispy beta software and that does not find anything.

The banner still pops up.

Did you "click here" on my first posting?

Tesla is a valid file, Teslaplus is malware.
The link takes you straight into a possible fix for the problem.

If the popup you see, and this description tally, then with the usual care of backing up the registry, you might try doing what the link suggests stage by stage.

It seems that while you may have removed most of it, there is still a file to be deleted and a changed entry in the registry to be 'seen to.'
