Temporary Internet Files reserved space.

With todays high speed internet connections how important are temporary internet files and what space do you reserve for them ?
Currently I have reduced mine down to 50mb and to keep pages in history for only 3 days. Been using it like that for weeks.

The reality is that if you have a fast internet connection you really do not need TIF.

Internet History is useful simply for returning to a recently visited page and is totally different to the TIF cache.

Microsoft have changed the GUI setting and will not let you reduce the file size below 8MB. (You can do so with a registry tweak).

Thanks for that. See what you mean about the history thing, I'll perhaps alter that.
