taskfree.exe won't install

  cadoc 13:56 27 Nov 2008

I've downloaded taskfree.exe in order to help with unnecessary start-up programs on my desktop Windows XP PC.
However, when I double-click on it to activate/initialise the program nothing happens.
Any ideas ? Is there something on my PC that prevents it from working.
It works fine on my laptop.

Do you need another program to do this? There's a program called msconfig installed already:

Start>run>msconfig (press enter) this will help you manage start up programs.

I haven't used taskfree as it seems new but anti-malware programs such as Spybot S&D have this function and can tell you which programs are required and which are not.

Hope this helps
