Tablet Replacement For A Laptop

Could someone recommend a tablet as a replacement for a laptop. I have always had a laptop as I used to burn a lot of discs but now I don't so often. I would like maybe a tablet now so I can browse etc and do basically everything I could with a laptop (I could always plug in an external burner). I don't particularly want an iPad or anything to do with Apple!

I would like it to be as powerful as possible and quite a big screen. Thanks for any suggestions.

A tablet doesn't really replace a laptop - tablets are great for social media, browsing e mail, films games etc. not really good for office work, photo / movie editing etc.

I could always plug in an external burner not really relevant with most tablets

Think very carefully about what you want to do.

My desktop is for homework, laptop for work, tablet for entertainment while away from home.

There is only one Tablet that will replace a Laptop, but it's not cheap. Microsoft Surface Pro 3.

You can use it for work. MS has made Office compatible with IOS and Android but at the present these Tablets are Toys not Tools. Great for playing games, watching movies, so long as you have a microscope, and surfing the net.
