Hi, can anyone help with this problem I just can't rid my laptop of? I'm getting 6 blank windows popping up when I start windows, they are all titled "windows\system32\cmd.exe" and they disappear after about 15 seconds. I'm running xp home and have tried various virus and spyware programs (avg, ccleaner, spybot, adaware, a2 etc) but nothing is working and I can't find anything on the internet. Please help! ps I've also run msconfig and looked for anything suspicious in startup but can see nothing obvious.
Many thanks!
Nick

they could be connected to some programs you may have. as it could be used to perform startup operations for them. have a look in ccleaner>tools>startup and see if it is in there
