Hi all, turned on computer this morning and system tray at bottom of screen is double height. Tried with mouse to reduce it but will not. Will increase but not decrease. Any ideas?

It could be one of the toolbars that has become stretched and is taking up two lines. Try right-clicking the Taskbar, move the mouse up to Toolbars and turn them all off. Now try reducing the taskbar to normal height. If this works you should then be able to turn the toolbars back on.

First, right-click on Taskbar and unlock it - when sorted to your satisfaction, lock the Taskbar again.

Hi again, thanks for tips, but still to no avail.
If I remove the quick start items, the bar can be reduced, but even if toolbar is locked or unlocked, as soon as I put these back on again the bar jumps to double height. Then unable to reduce the size.

Unlock the toolbar and use your mouse click and drag to stretch the quickstart line of double dots to the right. This will allow all of your icons to have a space on one line.
