Can anyone tell me how to remove BBC I Player icon from my System Tray? Followed all the MS Config stuff, can't see it there...also my AVG Anti-Spyware ditto.

Thanks brundle and MCE2K5 (Great name). Followed those links and unticked re those instructions, very informative. Just noticed that when I load I-Player the icon re-instates itself in System Tray, although when "Exit" clicked it reappears.

Is it in Add Remove Programs in control panel

Hello again pal...yes it's in there but that will remove the entire program- I just want shot of the System Tray icon.

If you right click on the toolbar and choose properties then customise you can choose to hide the icon when inactive. Is this what you mean?

Greetings hiwatt and yes, that's what I mean. Thanks for the info..didn't know it existed. However, clicked on the BBC icon "Hide when inactive" and no difference, still there. Also did the same with my AVG icon and that won't vanish either.

You can set it to always hide.
