System Restore Win 7

I had to do a system restore a few days ago and was surprised to find that the latest restore point was over a week old.

I am sure that in XP you could set scheduled restore points, but I can't find the same under Win 7.

Anybody help please?

Windows 7 only makes Restore Points about every 7 days (as opposed to XP daily) you can always make manual restore points if you need them.

Thanks both.

I've made some adjustments, and I'll keep an eye on it for a week or so.

Been using W7 since last November, it is a learning curve.

But perfectly doable in all ways (forums and posts)

I have a shortcut to "Create a Restore Point" and I use it every day.

Click Start and start typing "Create" in the box.

Drag (with CTRL held down) to make a link on your desktop.

Google "God Mode" for full Control Panel Shortcuts.

Thanks.

I've been using Win 7 on three computers since the RC first became available in May last year, and knew how to create a restore point.

I just wanted to make the automatic system more frequent, and it's not quite as simple under 7 as it was under XP
