System Restore off

hi how do i turn my system restore off cos ive turned it off through the system protection but when i go back to it to try and turn it on it wont let me

Start Menu - Right click on My Computer. Select Properties, then system restore tab.
Check 'Turn off system restore on all drives'. Click OK.

probably nothing to do with it but try a reboot and see if that works

Did you turn system restore off yourself or have you just realised that it is turned off?

If the latter is the case you may have a malware infection.

click here

Click the Preferences button, and select the Repair tab. Scroll down to "Repair Broken Windows System Restore Service" - highlight it and click Perform Repair...

where do i find that repair broken windows mate cos i carnt find it

Open SuperAntiSpyware

Click on Preferences button

Click on Repairs tab

In the list of System and Browser Repair Items scroll down to

"Repair Broken Windows System Restore Service"

Highlight it, and click on Perform Repair... button

Turn on System Restore, Start\Programs\Accessories\System Tools\System Restore\System Restore Settings
