iPhone X review
Hello PC Advisor, I have just recived my Cover Disc for this month. System Mechanic is not offering me the 6 months licence. I clicked on the link after installing it from files and it just took me too a dead page. I tryed the tinyurl/ which just stated the obvious. Not link to get the serial any where. I just unistalled my PC Maintenace suit to try this, and it does not work. Any help would be appreciated. A subscirber for something like a decade now Richard

This is the email I had from them. No serial, each time I try it still takes me to a blank page. I have also fully updated it.
And PC Advisor, get on the phone to them, look, What PC Magazine reccomends?!?! - That should read - what PC Advisor recomends, should it not. I have owned this program 11 times now, from3,6,7, and then 6 month licenses ever since. In your review you gave it a good score but I'm not too sure, Its merits are yet to be fully explained, and I remember 1 version, I think 7,8 or 9 that had spyware built into it.
Did you do this?
Go to iolo promotion page and it tells you how. "Start the System Mechanic software and look at the "Hints and Tips" window at the bottom of the main screen. Click it to obtain your free Activation Key."
You don't need it
Well it only offered me the free license once, after updating like it said it needed too do, it no longer offers it too me. It took several hours just to do the quick clean on me. nd crashed several times resulting in the old on and off again. I'm really disapointed in PC Advisor. I have been a subscriber for around a decade or more. Due to this I have cancelled my subscription. And will write else where. I will create a keygen for 10.0 upto 10.5 and upload it latter. - Well actually, no I wont. I will unistall it now. Giveawayoftheday have better software than you now. Shame...........
I have the same issue.
lotvic clicking on the link you mention is what takes you to the blank page Sebire mentions.
PC Advisor this is the second product this year on your cover disks I have had problems of this nature with. I regard this as selling under false pretences and it will certainly make me think twice about buying your mag on the basis of the cover disk in future. You need to do better with your pre publication testing.
Iolo the install process and registration process (with updates whilst still installing causing crashes as modules have not yet been created) demonstrated by this cover disk offer, plus bugs which report shortcut as having invalid targets where in fact the targets actually exist (where located in the shortcut) detract from trusting the claimed expertise of your product.
Generally not impressed by PC Advisor or Iolo by this.
